Asheq is a character actor with strong improvisational skills. After making his debut appearance in Gillian Wearing's feature film, 'Self Made' (2010), Variety Magazine cited him an 'obvious natural talent.' After two years of training, Asheq found an agent and began winning small roles in TV, film, and commercials. In 2013, he appeared alongside Riz Ahmed and Tom Hiddleston in the award-winning short film 'Out of darkness', and went on to act as lead in Channel 4's dystopian, futuristic short film, 'Benefits'. His appearances since then include popular TV shows such as Sherlock, Patrick Melrose, Man Like Mobeen and Doctors. He is known for his unique facial expressions and and ability with accents. Since being picked out in the LA Times for his appearance in Patrick Melrose, Asheq has gone on to feature as a recurring character in the BBC series Shakespeare and Hathaway, as well as appearing in forthcoming features and new shows such as His Dark Materials.
